Coordinator Activities
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma
- Must be eligible for certification as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body on or after October 1, 1990; AND
(A) Has completed an activities professional training course approved by the State, or enrolled within 90 days of offer; OR
(B) Has 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years; OR
(C) Qualified Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant
- BLS Certification within 3 months of hire
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree in Recreation Therapy, Occupation Therapy, or related field
- Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
- Successful completion of a Michigan State Certified Nurse Aide training program & current State of Michigan Certification
- Possess 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, one of which was full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting
