Occupational Therapist
Qualifications:
Required:
Graduate of an accredited program of occupational therapy.
Current State Board of Occupational Therapy licensure.
BLS certification.
Preferred:
One year of occupational therapist experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media.
Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools ( e.g. Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale).
Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities in a courteous, tactful and poised manner.
Current knowledge of treatment theories, practices and techniques per discipline.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and policy and procedures manuals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety, State DPH standards, ergonomics, workers’ compensation, and OSHA regulations.
Demonstrated ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
