Program Coordinator Registered Nurse Trauma
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing. (Associates Degree/Diploma in nursing maybe considered provided Bachelor’s degree in nursing is successfully completed within thirty-six (36) months of hire/transfer date.
- Valid Michigan Registered Nurse License
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required or obtained within six months of hire
- Three (3) years of experience in Emergency Nursing and trauma center environment or OR, ICU in a trauma center environment
- NIHSS certification, if not current must be obtained within twelve (12) months of hire/transfer date
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or health related filed
- Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) and/or Critical Care (CCRN)
- TNCC Instructor Certification
- Experience in collective, coding and scoring trauma records and maintaining the Trauma Registry
- Minimum two years in leadership/management role
- Six (6) months experience in coordinating process and performance improvement activities
