- Ability to effectively communicate general terms and conditions of employment including benefit plans with potential candidates.
- Demonstrates knowledge of current human resources policies, procedures, and practices.
- Guides and counsels others in the interpretation and application of human resources policies, procedures, and practices.
- Accurately interpret and apply the provisions of union contracts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills in demanding situations.
- Makes sound decisions in human resources issues where there is no written policy or established practice.
- Maintains knowledge, coordinates and assists in communication and implementation of system-wide initiatives related to benefit changes, compensation, retirement services, HRIS and open enrollment.
