Position Summary:
Assesses, plans, provides, and evaluates direct patient care to patients in the Behavioral Health Unit. Assures the quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Conducts, documents, and communicates patient assessments
- Observes patient behavior and reports potential problem situations to Charge Nurse and physicians
- Administers medications to patient as directed and documents in patient chart
Required: · Graduate of an accredited school of nursing · Must possess valid State of · BLS certified within 30 days of hire · CPI within 6 months of hire Preferred: · Previous work experience in inpatient psychiatric nursing · Minimum 1 year of experience as staff nurse
