Registered Nurse - Wound Care Center
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (must be obtained within thirty-six (36) months of hire/transfer date) (Does not apply to per-diem staff).
- Two (2) years clinical experience in an acute care setting or equivalent
- Valid Michigan Registered Nurse license
- Certified with the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology as a Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT); if not current, must be obtained within twelve (12) months after obtaining 400 hours of diving training. Exam must be taken at the first available opportunity after obtaining training hours. (Does not apply to per-diem staff).
- Completion of Hyperbaric Medicine Team Training and Wound Care Course Training prior to being able to service patients. (Does not apply to per-diem staff).
- CPR issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Current active certification with American Board of Wound Management (ABWM) as a "CWS" within twenty-four (24) months of hire/transfer date. (Does not apply to per-diem staff).
Preferred:
- Successful graduate of NAWC approved “Wound Management Certification Training Course”
- Wound Care/Hyperbaric experience
- ACLS
