Required:
•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    Successful completion of the Canine Handling Training Course
•    Valid state driver's license
•    Driving record must be within the approved insurance company’s regulations

Preferred:  
•    Training beyond high school in related programs
•    Previous experience in health care industry
•    Associate degree in criminal justice, security administration or related field
•    Six months of prior work experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1.    Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills including the use of a personal computer and report writing.  
2.    Ability to endure the physical elements associated with outside work assignments.
3.    Demonstrated ability to deal with the public in a courteous and/or firm manner when necessary.
4.    Demonstrated ability to perform under stressful situations, achieve work objectives and maintain the hospital's community relations philosophy.
5.    Knowledge of organizational and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
6.    Ability to maintain confidentiality in patient and personnel communications. 
7.    Demonstrated ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
